Congratulations to first grader, Dietrich Zumbehl, and fifth grader, Kinzley Manion, for being awarded the Gentry County Sheriff's Office October Student of the Month awards! Both students were nominated by our VEG school staff members.
Reminder- tomorrow is the PreACT test for students in 8th and 9th grade that are signed up. The test will be given at the Williford Building and students will return to school around lunch time. The cost is $19.50.

On Friday, October 31st, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students had the opportunity to hear from Brittney Siddens and Nichole Tatum from 1two3 Bloom. These two dedicated professionals share a passion for making a positive impact on mental health and wellness.
In honor of Red Ribbon Week, they spoke with students about making safe and healthy choices, recognizing and managing their emotions, and identifying trusted adults they can turn to for support.

Maggie Zumbehl is a 5th grade student in Mrs. Nichols' class. Maggie has shown great examples of self-control. She knows to keep her hands, feet, and other objects to herself. She knows when some things shouldn't be said and has good self-control with some of her classmates!
Jenna Carlock is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Mercer's class. Jenna exhibits this trait every day in 1st grade. She shows control when it is time to learn and listen. She keeps her voice off and her hands and body to herself. She does her job as a first grader even when others aren't.
