Thank you, Albany community!

We are incredibly grateful for your support of the Warriors C.A.R.E. initiative and your continued investment in Albany R-III schools. Because of you, we can move forward with critical improvements that will:

Restore and protect our school facilities
Improve safety, lighting, and overall building conditions
Enhance student comfort through updated HVAC systems and infrastructure
Create learning environments where students and staff can thrive

This investment ensures our district can continue delivering strong results—from a 97% graduation rate to programs that prepare every student for success beyond the classroom.

We are proud to serve this community and excited for what’s ahead.

As election day approaches, the Albany R-III School District is asking voters to consider the Warriors C.A.R.E. (Community Action Reinvesting in Education) bond issue—an investment in the future of our students, staff, and community.

If approved, this initiative will support critical improvements including:

Replacing aging windows and restoring building exteriors
Addressing drainage and flood mitigation concerns
Upgrading HVAC systems, lighting, and safety features
Enhancing learning environments across the district

Many of our facilities have reached or exceeded their expected lifespan, and these proactive updates will help ensure our schools remain safe, efficient, and supportive spaces for learning.

Please remember to vote on Tuesday, April 7.

We are excited to announce our VEG Elementary Students of the Month for March, recognizing their outstanding demonstration of the character trait of Cooperation. Their dedication to working well with others sets a wonderful example for all students at VEG!

Max Holtzclaw, 5th Grade: Max has excelled in group activities, particularly during the recent science fair, where he collaborated effectively with his partner. His willingness to assist others and address potential issues before they escalate showcases his commitment to teamwork.

Emersyn Parkhurst, 1st Grade: Emersyn exemplifies cooperation in every aspect of her school life. She is an exceptional partner, consistently follows instructions, and provides support whenever there is a substitute teacher in the classroom.

Congratulations to both students!
