Thank you to the Athens Lodge #127 for donating money to purchase six bicycles to give away to Kindergarten through 5th grade students at VEG for our 3rd Quarter Reading Raffle. Any time a student read a book during 3rd quarter and passed the quiz with an 80% or higher, their name was entered into the drawing. Congratulations to our winners! The Book Blast by Books Are Fun at VEG has ended, but the books and prizes have arrived! They will be sent home with students today. It may be Thursday, but it's our "High Five Friday" here at VEG since we will be out for Spring Break tomorrow. Thank you very much to the KIT ladies from the First Baptist Church of Albany for greeting our students with a cheerful smile this morning!

The 1st grade enrichment group built and drove their robots. Last week they worked on building them which is much like a Lego set. Then they were able to connect them to the I-Pad via Bluetooth and drive them!

The Junior Class will be having a Poppa's Breakfast fundraiser this Saturday, March 23rd from 7-10am. Please come and support the Junior Class as they raise funds for prom. This is a free will donation event.
The Tri-County Health Department will be providing an Immunization clinic on April 4, 2024 @ 1 pm here at AHS. This clinic will be for all 7th and 11th-grade students.
The MCV4 (meningococcal ) vaccine is needed for all incoming seniors.
The Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccine and MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccine are needed for all incoming 8th graders.
The Health Department can bill most insurance companies. A $20 administration fee will be charged for those without insurance.
Forms are available in the Principal's office. Please return completed forms with a copy of your insurance card to be enrolled for this clinic. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 2, 2023.
