Attention 8th grade parents: Students will be participating in Manufacturing Day, Tuesday, November 12th. Big thanks to KAK Industries, Johnson Controls, DRT, and GHS Paper & Tube for allowing us to visit their facilities! Please be mindful of the following dress code and safety requirements for the day. #AlbanyProud
• Please wear jeans or long pants, t-shirts or long sleeves, and closed toe shoes. No shorts,
sweatpants, leggings, or tank tops.
• Participants may be required to wear eye protection, hearing protection and/or hard hats
during tours. These will be provided.
• Use of cell phones during tours is prohibited.
• Check with business/industry tour guide before taking photos.
• Safety awareness is important. Be aware of forklifts and other equipment.
• Participants will stay with assigned group.

Weston Stulz is a 5th grader in Mrs. Nichols class. When he has to be with partners who aren't on grade level or they don't understand what they are doing or what he is telling them. He works extra hard to help. when asked," if he wanted help he said " no I've got it". And he keeps working. He is very patient with them. Weston has been working really hard on making appropriate choices in school. He has worked really hard to think before acting and has had a great month so far! He removes himself from situations that would encourage him to make a poor choice.
Easton Peterson is a kindergartener in Mrs. Moffat's class. Easton shows self control at recess!! During kickball, basketball and other games there can be a lot of disagreements! Easton is the first to try to come up with a solution to make everyone happy and keep the game going! He also shows self control in the class room by not getting distracted if others are not following along and being responsible he continues to work hard and completes his work! I’m so proud of his character!!

SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
The Albany R-III School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 8, 2025 election. There are two positions available with three year terms. Interested persons may file at the Superintendent's office located at 101 W. Jefferson Street, Albany, Missouri 64402. For more information contact Mr. Dustin Freeman, Superintendent at (660) 726-3911.
Filing will begin on December 10, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district's regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days that the school district's central offices are closed due to inclement weather or other health related reasons. Filing will also not occur on the following holidays and breaks when the school district's central offices are closed: December 23, 2024 - December 30, 2024. Our office will open at 4:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024 and board filing will end at 5:00 p.m. on this day.
