Ms. Helm's Spanish 1 class visited El Museo Latino in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, October 28th. While there, they learned about various hispanic and latino artists and several art styles both historical and contemporary. They also learned about ofrendas (a type of altar set up to celebrate those who have passed on Dia de los Muertos) and got to see one honoring one of the artists whose work is displayed at the museum. Lastly, the students were able to make papel picado which are tissue paper banners used to decorate at many important events and celebrations in hispanic and latino cultures.

6th and 10th grade students earned a Sonic Drink Party for the highest PT Conference attendance percentage at AMSHS. Way to go everyone!!

Congratulations to the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Academic Teams and their coaches for defeating Maysville tonight. We are so proud of you! Good luck on Saturday at the King City tournament.

Case Hopkins: Case is always in control of his actions, words and emotions during music practice. He cheers for everyone when they get a question correct and even cheers for those who have gotten it wrong. He is always doing what is asked of him and does the right thing even when others aren't looking.
Eliza Rolves: Eliza uses self-control on the daily. She is a continuous leader for her classmates and always shows them how to do the right thing no matter how many around her might be struggling. She is ALWAYS kind to others!
