It will be close to 6:00 before the 3rd and 5th grade get back from the Royals game.
This week, we raise our voices in a Warrior-worthy salute to the heart of Albany R-III—our incredible teachers.
They are the early-morning motivators, the lunchtime listeners, the after-school encouragers. They are the ones who see potential when it’s hidden, who challenge students to reach farther, and who show up—day after day—with purpose, patience, and passion.
From the ABCs to college credits, from kindergarten smiles to senior send-offs, our Warriors educators don’t just teach—they inspire, ignite, and empower.
Let’s flood them with love this week. Send a note, share a story, or simply say thank you.
Because our classrooms are full of champions—and the greatest among them stand at the front.

VEG last day of school schedule!

High Five Friday! Thank you to the Tri-County Health Department for welcoming our VEG students this morning!

Due to the forecasted lower temperatures and chance of rain, we are going to postpone VEG Track and Field Day to May 12th. We apologize for any inconvenience.
It’s Principal’s Appreciation Day, and Albany R-3 is proud to celebrate two true Warrior leaders!
At the V.E.G. Elementary, Mrs. Julie Slagle is the heart of our youngest Warriors’ first steps in learning. With kindness, grit, and a whole lot of heart, she creates a place where curiosity grows and every child feels seen, supported, and valued.
At the Albany Middle and High School, Mrs. Barbara Terry leads with strength, vision, and Warrior pride. She meets each day with purpose—championing student success, empowering staff, and helping build the next generation of leaders.
Mrs. Slagle and Mrs. Terry don’t just work in our schools—they shape them. Today, we honor their passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Warrior excellence.
Drop a comment below to help us thank these incredible leaders who make Albany R-3 a place where students thrive!
